The main purpose of this product is to reduce engine noise, yet these kits can also offer slight power gains in turbo engines and high performance engines at the top end. How does an induction kit work? Well, it is essentially an open-air filter that is shaped like a tube, dome or cone. Most cars are already fitted with air filters, however these are standard closed paper filters, which can be extremely restrictive to airflow. An induction kit however allows more air to the engine as the car can suck it in more freely. As a result, the air box will now muffle that deep roaring sound your engine used to make.
