Posted on: 16/12/2023

Already missing car show season? Us too. The good news is that next year’s calendar looks set to be even more jam-packed than this year’s, with a whole host of familiar favourites and brand new events to look forward to. No matter what you drive, there’ll be plenty of shows to enjoy throughout 2024 - and we’re previewing some of the highlights right here.

From chilled classic car gatherings to action-packed modified car festivals, there’s something for everyone in our list of 2024 show highlights…

Where to Show your Car in 2024

Autosport International

This star-studded indoor motorsports show kicks off the season, returning to Birmingham’s NEC once more in early January. Expect special guest speakers, the latest and greatest racing machinery, modified car displays and trade stands as far as the eye can see. Find out more about how to attend and display your car on the show’s official website

When? 10-13 January

Where? NEC, Birmingham

Retro Rides

Between the Goodwood Weekender, the Mallory Park Gathering and the new-for-2024 Quick60 event, Retro Rides has one hell of a show lineup planned for next year. Practically anything goes at a Retro Rides event; if it’s old enough and cool enough, it’ll be there. From classic sports cars to forgotten workaday family wagons, there’s a bit of everything on display. Restored or rusty, modified or standard, if you own a classic, you’ll be welcome at a Retro Rides show.

When? 11-12 May (Weekender), 11 August (Gathering and Quick60)

Where? Goodwood Motor Circuit (Weekender), Mallory Park (Gathering and Quick60)

Supercar Fest

If high performance exotica is your thing, you won’t want to miss Supercar Fest. Supercar owners will converge on Sywell Aerodrome and Mallory Park for two separate Supercar Fest events next year, named ‘Supercar Fest the Runway’ and ‘Supercar Fest the Track’ respectively. If you own a supercar of any description - be it a Ferrari, Porsche, Lamborghini or anything in between - these two events are not to be missed.

When? 18-19 May and 27 July

Where? Sywell Aerodrome (the Runway) and Mallory Park (the Track)

MotoFest Coventry

If you’re a petrolhead, Coventry is the place to be on the first weekend in June. The city will once again play host to MotoFest next year, an all-singing, all-dancing celebration of all things internal combustion. From classic motorcycles to the latest and greatest supercars, all kinds of exciting machinery will be blasting through the streets on demonstration runs. There’s ample opportunity for you to display your car too, either as part of a club stand or in one of the classic and modified display areas.

When? 1-2 June

Where? Coventry

The Reunion Show

Otherwise known as Max Power Reunion, this event is a must-attend for fans of the Max Power era. If you own a modified car and fondly remember a time when car tuning mags aplenty sat on the shelves of your local WHSmith, you’ll feel right at home here. The Reunion Show celebrates all things custom, from wild bodykits to spectacular paint jobs, liveries and sound systems. All modified cars are welcome - all you have to do is apply online to show your car.

When? 14 July

Where? Staffordshire Showground

Players Classic

Along the same vein as Rollhard, Players Classic is another unmissable showcase of the nation’s very best show cars. Held at an equally impressive venue, Goodwood Motor Circuit, Players is a two-day affair combining static displays with crowd-pleasing on track action. A date for the 2024 show is yet to be confirmed - keep an eye on the Players site for further details as and when they’re revealed.

When? TBC

Where? Goodwood Motor Circuit

Rollhard

A timeless venue, the very best show cars and immaculate vibes: Rollhard at Bicester Heritage is hard to beat. No matter what you’re into or what you drive, you’ll find plenty to enjoy here. Bicester’s access roads and paddocks play host to slammed air-cooled VWs, classic Americana, European exotica and everything in between.

When? 4 August

Where? Bicester Heritage

Gravity Show

If there’s a show that offers all things to all car people, Gravity has to be it. From breathtaking hypercars to track cars, stanced show cars and battle-hardened drift cars, there’s an eclectic mix of machinery on display. And if you get bored of looking at cars parked up, there’s always the live action display arena. If you can’t find it, look for the clouds of tyre smoke…

When? 24-25 August

Where? NEC, Birmingham

Trax

Billed as Britain’s biggest performance car show, Trax takes over Silverstone Circuit once a year - and there’s always plenty of exciting stuff going on there. You could easily spend an entire day just wandering around the thousands of cars on display, which are made up of owners’ club stands, a show and shine section and other curated displays. Chances are, you’ll be distracted by the on-track action too much to see every car, though. The circuit is live throughout the day, with plenty of public track sessions and drift demos for you to feast your eyes (and ears) on.

When? 1 September

Where? Silverstone Circuit

German Car Festival

If you live down south, you’re in for a real treat next year. The German Car Festival - previously held at Silverstone - will migrate to Goodwood for 2024, joining the likes of Japfest Classic, Players and the Retro Rides Weekender. We’ve never seen Goodwood so busy! If you own a BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz or anything else made in Germany, you won’t want to miss this one.

When? 5 October

Where? Goodwood Motor Circuit

Japfest Classic

New for 2024, Japfest Classic is a celebration of the greats - the cars that defined Japan’s endlessly impressive automotive industry. Focusing exclusively on cars manufactured before 2004, the show intends to showcase iconic machinery from the nation’s past. From ‘60s classics to ‘90s tuning legends like the Skyline, Supra, Silvia and RX-7, there should be plenty of stunning metal to gawp at.

Interestingly, it’s set to take place the day after the German Car Festival. Why not make a weekend of it and enjoy both?

When? 6 October

Where? Goodwood Motor Circuit

Caffeine & Machine: The Bowl

Fancy something a little more laidback? The wildly successful Caffeine & Machine, based in Warwickshire, has opened a brand-new location. Soft launched this autumn, the new location, dubbed ‘The Bowl’, is all set to begin hosting events throughout the 2024 show season.

If you’ve ever been to the original location, the events scheduled at The Bowl will feel immediately familiar. From Daikoku Nights, which shines the spotlight on Japanese cars, to rally car days, celebrations of German cars and much more, there’s something for everyone here. Upcoming dates are announced on social media regularly.

When? Throughout 2024

Where? The Bowl, Bedford
