Seats and harnesses are an integral part of motorsport and performance parts, combining safety and comfort with emphasis on safety.
Harnesses and Seats are designed to give extreme comfort whether driving a road going vehicle or a track vehicle which has to have specific FIA and SFA standards.
If harnesses or seat belts are not up to standard i.e. frayed or out of date, vehicles will either fail the MOT test or be unable to race and complete in particular meetings.
Seats can be either bucket usually used in track day vehicles or reclining which are usually used in road vehicles.
Classic bucket seats are also available which are classed as performance parts and are widely used in motorsport and kit cars.
Harnesses come in a variety of styles and colours including 3 point, 4 point, 5 point, and 6 point and in a variety of specific fittings, particularly for sports vehicles like Caterham and Westfield, where only front seats are fitted and have specific mounting points. Colours like violet, green, and pink are becoming increasingly popular and many manufacturers have also launched ranges of towing straps and ancillary items such as door and map pockets, window nets and coloured seat belts.
