The Best Car and Supercar Blogs to Follow
Posted on: 25/03/2015There are quite a few blogs out there covering the auto industry, but a closer look and the number of useful ones quickly starts to tumble. We’re aficionados of the car blog here at LK Performance, so here’s our list of Best Car and Supercar Blogs to add to your reading list – in addition to ours, of course.
The Supercar Kids
From the latest supercar news to coverage of celebrity supercar collections, the outstanding blog by The Supercar Kids is comprehensively and regularly updated with top end production values. It’s always our first stop.
Autoblog
Updated constantly with anything from the LC470 to Maserati cutting production to restorations, this is a good blog to dip into and catch up with random and always interesting stuff.
Hemmings
An excellent place for all things classic, Hemmings is regularly updated by a true lover of Classic Cars.
Build Threads
We’ve been following this site for a while now, as it’s a really good place to catch up or follow various labours of love; people spending every spare hour and pound in the comprehensive stripping down and rebuilding of their favourite ride. Any true enthusiast will find this site rewarding and most probably educational too. There are eclectic cars like a 2nd Gen Camaro, a Project Thunderbolt LS3 Miata, a Ferrari 308 GTB rally car and a Peugeot 106 Hillclimb, among many others.
Low Tech Blog
Really cool vehicles, good crack and some pretty impressive photos too. This site focuses almost exclusively on throwback customisations from the Golden Age of American vehicles, so if that’s your think, mosey on over.
Car Blog
Promoted as the UK’s no1 car blog (oh yeah? You sure about that?), Car Blog is mostly advice-focused with loads of great articles on everything from buying a car to deciphering your car insurance. It’s not the most fun blog, but it is the most informative.
Pistonheads
Pistonheads has been going for what feels like forever, and is an excellent place to get all things car, be it advice from the forums, information or breaking news. As you likely already know, you can buy and sell cars on there too, and even if you’re not in the market the site is worth a look to see what rides are becoming available.
Autoevolution
Another very comprehensive and avidly updated site, Autoevolution posts loads of reviews on the latest automotive releases and teasers for forthcoming cars.
The Truth About Cars
Basically US-centric, but a pretty exhaustive site on the minutiae of car ownership nonetheless. If you have a problem, this is the place to go and get it diagnosed and sorted. They also have regular reviews for the new releases and true to their moniker, stay pretty clear about what they do and don’t like.
